Our mission

McDonough Women is built by female students, for female students. We provide the kind of mentorship, friendship, and guidance we wished for when beginning our own journeys at Georgetown: support in navigating academics, career paths, and life on campus.

Through events, partnerships, and peer-to-peer support, McDonough Women fosters a community where students can learn, grow, and thrive—together.

Beyond building community, our mission is to empower women to break barriers, amplify their voices, and prepare to lead in the business world and beyond. We create spaces for honest conversations, professional development, and meaningful connections with alumni and industry leaders.

What we offer

Student-led monthly meetings provide a safe and supportive space for growth and learning, empowering participants to develop essential professional skills. These sessions offer a practical “how-to” guide for navigating the corporate world, including crafting effective resumes, mastering interviewing techniques, honing networking strategies, and exploring career paths. By fostering peer collaboration and real-world insights, these meetings prepare students to confidently transition from the classroom to their future careers.
Partnership diversity recruiting events provide a unique opportunity for candidates to connect with leading firms across Finance, Consulting, Marketing, Tech, and Retail industries. These events offer small group networking sessions designed to foster meaningful conversations and insights. Attendees can explore a variety of organizations, gain firsthand knowledge about their cultures and opportunities, and engage directly with recruiters. Whether you’re seeking to expand your professional network or find the perfect fit, these events are an essential step in advancing your career.
Connect with like-minded Georgetown women at our monthly social events designed to foster friendship and fun. An Suzuki

PRESIDENT
An is a junior from Tokyo, Japan studying Accounting and OPAN. She previously served as Communications Chair and Operations Chair before stepping into her current role as President. An has interned with Envisage International Corporation and will be interning at KPMG next summer.
Audrey Paulson

COMMUNICATIONS CHAIR
Audrey is a junior from Richmond studying Accounting and Finance. She has served as Communications Chair since her freshman year. Audrey will be interning with KPMG in Chicago next summer, doing Financial Due Diligence Accounting.
Alexandra Faus Gil

PROFESSIONAL CHAIR
Alexandra is a senior from Miami and Barcelona majoring in Finance and International Business. She served as Co-President during the 2024–25 school year and now leads as Professional Chair. Alex has interned with JP Morgan and Girls Who Invest.
Emma Shaich

MARKETING CHAIR
Emma is a senior from Boston majoring in Marketing with a minor in Studio Art. She served as Co-President during the 2024–25 school year and now leads as Marketing Chair. Emma has interned with Christian Louboutin and Rag & Bone.
Ana Parikh

PROFESIONAL CHAIR
Ana is from Chicago, IL and is a junior in the McDonough School of Business majoring in Accounting. She currently serves as Professional Chair for McDonough Women. Ana has interned with United Airlines in Airport Operations and will be joining KPMG as an Incoming 2026 Audit Summer Intern.
Emma Symonds

MARKETING CHAIR
Emma grew up in London and New York and is a junior in the McDonough School of Business. She previously served as Marketing Chair for McDonough Women and is currently studying abroad in Sydney, Australia. Upon her return in January, Emma will join An as Co-President. Emma has held internships at Jones Road Beauty and with Tory Burch.
Cara D'Angelo

SOCIAL DIRECTOR
Cara is from Caldwell, NJ and is a junior at Georgetown University. Cara currently serves as Social Chair for McDonough Women. She will be interning with Jefferies as an Incoming 2026 Fixed Income Sales & Trading Summer Analyst.
